A significant number of Cranleighans headed abroad after leaving, and several set up their own Cranleigh Schools around the world, as was the case with former pupils of many public schools.

Reredos

The impressive chalk reredos was designed by School architect Henry Woodyer and put in place in 1881, although the figures themselves, made by Nichols of Lambeth, were not ready for another year and were made inside the Chapel itself.

Telephone wall

The round holes in the wall at the south-west corner of the Quad date back to a time when that was the area where the boys queued to make telephone calls home

Plazotta

In the summer of 1977 the South Field was covered with an exhibition of bronzes by renowned Italian-born British sculptor Enzo Plazzotta. The artist donated one work to the School and a poll of the pupils was duly held.
