One of the most unusual artefacts is a goblet made out of a carved half-coconut which was presented to Joseph Merriman, Cranleigh’s first Headmaster, in 1877. It was carved by Kofi Nti, the son of the King of the Ashanti, who was educated at Cranleigh between 1875 and 1881.
